Yes - everyone’s (possibly) favourite ice cream godfathers have just released their new dairy-free range of ice cream in Singapore. Suitable for vegans and non-dairy eaters, the range comes in three scrumptious flavours: Caramel Almond Brittle, P. B. & Cookies and Coconut Seven Layer Bar (SGD14.90/pint).

Certified Vegan by Vegan Action, the new non-dairy ice cream is made using almond milk (to replace regular milk) and coconut oil (in place of milk and cream), making the ice cream also suited for the lactose-intolerant. It’s also made using fairtrade certified cocoa, sugar, bananas and vanilla, which truly makes for a guilt-free (and vegan!) treat.

Dofu
If you thought you couldn’t enjoy your Instagram-worthy ice cream ttreats anymore, you thought wrong. Dofu is slowly proving to be a crowd favourite with their homemade, vegan and absolutely aesthetic Black Soy Ice Cream.

The parlour works just like your usual non-vegan ice cream shops, where you can pick a base and customise your own toppings (starting at SGD4.90/regular size). Instead of regular dairy ice cream, they use a premium black soy ice cream with a layer of chilled soy pudding as the base of cup served. The charcoal shades of their ice cream comes from bamboo charcoal, known to improve metabolism and blood circulation.

Rice Dream
We love the exquisitely luscious and cream Vanilla option, as well as the delightful Cocoa Marble Fudge by Rice DREAM - to the point we almost forgot it was completely dairy-free by our third bite!

The Rice Dream ice cream range is certified organic and made from plant-based ingredients. Unlike the other almond or soy-based ice cream ranges mentioned earlier, their ice cream blends are made from real brown rice in place of regular cow’s milk. Bonus: it’s also free from artificial sweeteners or cholesterol!

Soyato
Good news, folks: Soyato’s ice cream pints are readily available in NTUC Fairprice and ISETAN Singapore for your easy consumption the next time you’re craving a sweet treat! Soyato is a lactose-free, vegan ice cream made from soya milk (with added prebiotics too)!

Take your pick from their different flavours, which include Green Tea, Honey Lemon and Wickedly Chocolate (SGD11.90/pint). Vegan ice cream aren’t always necessarily a low-caloric option. But fortunately, at just 100calories/100g, you can rest assured that Soyato’s range of ice cream will be a guilt-free indulgence you can easily work off.

Sugalight
With its low glycaemic index (GI) of 7, Sugalight is not only just a vegan-friendly ice cream option - it’s also diabetic-friendly. In fact, the Sugalight Vanilla ice cream flavour is awarded the Healthier Snack logo by the Health Promotion Board. Like it its name suggests, Sugalight is a low-sugar ice cream treat that uses xylitol, a natural plant-based sweetener that tastes exactly like regular sugar - only with fewer calories.
