ATLAS Bar
Located in the building known locally as the "Gotham Tower", ATLAS Bar opened to a lot of fanfare at the start of this year. After all, a building surrounded by grandiose statues, known for its opulence, needs a bar that’s worthy of sitting at its ground floor. Holding the largest collection of gin worldwide, ATLAS Bar is one that should most definitely not be missed. If drinking isn’t your cup of tea (or, well, gin), their dining menu is sure to delight as well.

The Black Swan
If you have walked by Cecil Street, chances are that this building has caught your attention. After all, in the midst of the central business district with skyscrapers, it is unusual to see an art deco building tucked away. Inside lies a masterpiece, where you’ll feel like you have been transported back to the roaring twenties. And, if you’re looking for a little nightcap, head upstairs to The Powder Room, where you can find an experimental cocktail bar!

Potato Head
It is hard to describe the eccentricity of Potato Head Singapore, but the establishment calls itself a place where "art deco meets playful modernism", so we’re going with that. This iconic red and white shophouse might not seem like the perfect place to time travel back to the 1920s, but rest assured that they have managed to incorporate an iconic Asian twist to the known-and-loved Art Deco style. Perfect for Singapore!

Okay, so we are certain that Newland Archer doesn’t drink in 2017 Singapore, but we are pretty sure that he certainly would approve of this place. No, the name Cin Cin is not a pun on the word gin, but it refers to the clinking of the sounds of glass that we all know and love. With specially curated cocktails set in the backdrop of a glitzy turquoise-gold combination that works out beautifully, you know you’re in for a good time.

A hidden gem in the National Gallery lies not in their gallery, but at their rooftop bar. After viewing the artworks within the confines of the building, head on up and be greeted with a breathtaking panoramic view of the Singapore city, and watch as the sun goes down and the lights flicker to life. Although not exactly Art Deco in nature, the opulence makes this reminiscent of the age, and the food here is to die for.

New York is the epicenter of the Roaring Twenties, and it makes sense that this New York joint embodies this iconic jazz age. This speakeasy is well-known for its opening in West Village in the city 12 years ago, and has since made its way to our tiny island. Still, despite the 20-hour flight, the hospitality remains impeccable and the art deco style that has made it famous makes this a bar that should not be missed.

The 1920s is more than just flapper dresses and pearl necklaces— it is the beginning of an era where people could not care less. The war has ended and the country is in economic prosperity, and there’s finally a break in the traditions. The Spiffy Dapper exemplifies that attitude, and more.
