Cat cafes may not be a brand new concept, but they sure are a hit in this little red dot.

At one point in time, it seemed like the favourite animal to love were dogs – loyal, smart and adorable. Cats weren’t so much on the radar, since many perceived them to be unfriendly, creepy and unresponsive. Turns out they have their lovable side as well, and more pet owners these days are turning to these feline buddies for company and affection.

However, we know how costly property prices can get in this very expensive city, and many pet lovers thus can’t afford to live alone. This means that some of us don’t get to own our own pets for the consideration of other family members, or simply don’t have the time to take care of them since we’re out most of the day at our jobs. However, this doesn’t mean that we love our little furry friends any less. Thankfully, the cat cafe business has been booming in Singapore, and a number of them have sprouted up all over the city. Now, we can enjoy the luxury of pampering and playing with adorable kitties without the added responsibility of taking care of them 24/7!

We’ve included in our gallery all the outlets we know that don’t just offer a space for customers to interact with the resident cats, but also ensure proper care for them as well. Make sure you follow the cafe rules accordingly – you don’t want to cause any inconveniences for yourself and others around you… pets included!
