Tea for Two: Afternoon tea just got sweeter with Cath Kidston

This Spring, Cath Kidston brings her oh-so-chic vintage floral style to Feast restaurant, Hong Kong.
Afternoon teas are always a delight – the thought of decadent food lined up prettily, served with aromatic teas and coffee in beautiful chinaware and what more so when they’re Cath Kidston themed, without the exorbitant price tag.
This tea, reminiscent of a scene from ‘The Secret Garden’, is the result of a collaboration between renowned English vintage fashion designer Cath Kidston and award-winning bespoke cake designer Penney Pang. Hosted at Feast in East Hotel, Hong Kong and affordably priced at HKD228 (approx. USD30), this quaint tea, themed after Cath Kidston’s Spring/Summer 2014 collection, complete with her signature floral patterns, has both a weekday tea option and a weekend buffet option, featuring an array of carefully prepared dishes.
Some of the mouthwatering food, prepared under the supervision of Chef David Parkin, includes English Honey-Glazed Ham and Mustard sandwich, Tea-Smoked Salmon, Horseradish and Cucumber sandwich, Duck-Egg Mayonnaise and Watercress sandwich, Sun-Blushed Tomato Palmiers, Quiche Lorraine, Asparagus Wrapped in Gorgonzola and Cured English Ham, Classic Fruit Scones with Devon Clotted Cream and Strawberry Jam, Orange Blossom Chocolate Bon Bon, Rose Cream-Filled Macaroon and Earl Grey Cupcake; all of which are paired perfectly with traditional English tea or coffee.
Penney Pang’s beautiful cake creations, featuring delicately prepared sugar flowers and elegant fondant coating, are made with the utmost precision to complement Cath Kidston’s fresh blooms and seasonal floral prints.
The afternoon tea runs from the 24th of March until the 18th of May 2014 and is priced at HKD228 (approx. USD30) for a set for two from Monday to Friday and, HKD195 (approx. USD25) per person on week end from 3:00pm to 5:30pm. All guests will receive a special Cath Kidston rose handcream together with a discount card for any Cath Kidston store.
