Easy Pies & Tarts Recipes: Fig Tart with Bacon and Goat Ash Cheese

This sweet and savoury tart blends its ingredients perfectly, making this original recipe a perfect dinner dish.

Fig Tart

Preparation Time: 15 min

Cooking Time: 30 min

Serves 4

Ingredients:

  • 1 pie dough
  • 8 sliced fresh bacon strips
  • Fresh figs 2-3 (depending on size)
  • 150g Goat Ash cheese
  • 1 Courgette
  • Mint leaves
  • Pepper

Method:

1. Preheat oven to 200°C. Wash the zucchini and cut into thin slices and dip them in boiling salted water for 3 minutes. Put them under cold water after.

2. Wash figs and cut them into quarters. Cut the goat ash cheese into slices.

3. Spread the pastry in a greased pie dish and lightly flour it.

4. Prick the bottom and sides to prevent it from swelling during cooking.

5. Pour the zucchini in the dish . Add fig and goat ash. Place thin slices of bacon. Pepper and bake for about 25-30 minutes. Add mint leaves before serving !

Tip: You can replace the pastry with a pure butter tart puff pastry.
