Easy Pies & Tarts Recipes: Cherry Tomato Tart

Quick and easy to make – savoury or sweet – our pies and tarts are the miracle solution for those lacking time and inspiration – perfect for the working woman.

Cherry Tomato Tart:

This easy-to-make tart bursts with flavour and is perfect on a hot summer’s day, with a glass or two of white wine.

Preparation Time: 15 MIN
Cooking Time: 20 MIN
Serves 4

Ingredients:

  • 1 pure butter puff pastry packet
  • 200g Bacon strips
  • 1kg Cherry Tomatoes
  • 2 teaspoons coffee Mustard
  • A few basil leaves

Method:

1.Pre-heat oven to 200°C

2. In a hot pan, fry the bacon strips for 5-6 minutes until nicely browned

3. Clean cherry tomatoes

4. Roll out the pastry in a pie pan, prick the bottom and sides to prevent it from swelling during cooking. Spread mustard on the pastry. Drop over the cherry tomatoes, so as to cover the entire surface.

5. Sprinkle with bacon and roasted bacon strips. Bake for 18-20 minutes.

Garnish with basil leaves and enjoy!
