POPS: The world’s first champagne lolly

Do you need a cool and super elegant “dessert/drink” idea for your house parties or barbecues? The world’s first champagne ice lollies might just do the trick.
A new kind of lollies has hit the market. And these ones are for adults only.
Known as POPS, these champagne lollies make an excellent addition to any party especially if you live in a warm place all year long. Each lolly contains 37% champagne (same as half a glass of the famous sparkling drink), just enough to get you tipsy and better still, it has no more than 100 calories! A small ice cream has around 220 calories, so that’s less less this alcoholic version.
Old school friends Harry Clarke and James Rae came up with this excellent idea for last summer’s holidays. According to Harry: “We were in Majorca, and we were attending a lot of day parties. We spotted a gap in the market for an alcoholic product that was more refreshing than a drink and could keep you cool.”
It’s been said that celebrities have already adopted the adult ice lolly – Miley Cyrus and Kate Moss, among others.
You will have to spend USD8 for a pop and/or USD160 for a box of 24, but not just yet because the champagne ice lollies are currently available only in London.
