Recipe: How to make homemade ketchup?

Fruits and vegetables are essential for a healthy diet. But if you’re the kind of person who prefers ketchup with your fries instead of a portion of salad, all is not lost. It is indeed possible to retain the benefits of tomato in a homemade version of ketchup and it is simpler than you think:
– Plunges 1kg of ripened tomatoes (the more mature the better) in boiling water for 30 seconds.
– Peel and mash them with a fork in a pot.
– Add cooked onions, a chopped raw apple, a big cup of added sugar and a glass of wine vinegar.
– Leave it to simmer on low heat until thickened.
– Before mixing, add a little amount of grated ginger, a pinch of allspice powder and a dash of Tabasco to taste.
– Sterilize it or freeze it, and you get a tasty ketchup, with less calories and more health benefits!
