5 Simple steps to combat stress
Natural solutions are easy to implement and effective in dealing with stress without medication.
Even if you are rather serene in nature, it’s impossible to escape the stress in our society. If it manifests itself differently in each of us, the physiological process remains the same. Under the effect of danger – or at least when our brain thinks there is a risky situation – our cortisol levels, also known as the stress hormone, climbs quickly, as does our adrenaline. The heart rate accelerates, the muscles contract… In short, the body prepares for the famous ‘fight or flight’.
THE DANGERS OF CHRONIC STRESS
Different from acute stress, which can be annoying but salutary, chronic stress gradually wears the body and can be harmful to health, even in the short term. It causes fatigue, headaches, muscle tension, sleep disorders, irritability, and more. In the long term, repeated stress can cause gastric ulcers, immunity disorders and even depression or heart problems. Hence the importance of knowing what we causes our anguish and anxiety should be quickly stopped with simple and easy to implement daily solutions.
