Diarrhoea, nausea, vomiting – we have probably encountered a virus from the Novovirus family, responsible for gastroenteritis outbreaks. Here is a guide to getting rid of it, fast and effectively.

Every year, the number of gastroenteritis cases soar. For those who have not managed to escape it, here are some natural and effective solutions for fast and long-lasting relief.

HOW TO PREVENT GASTROENTERITIS?

Just like the flu, to avoid catching it, the best defence is to wash your hands regularly, particularly before eating. You can also bet on essential oils to boost your immune system. One drop of essential oil of antiviral ravintsara and one drop of tea tree antibacterial, with sugar or a neutral tablet, taken four times a day for eight days increases your antibodies and allows you to develop better resistance.

WHEN TO CONSULT A DOCTOR?

Gastroenteritis normally lasts two to three days. If it persists for longer, it is advisable to see a general practitioner. It is necessary to consult a doctor if the absorption of liquid is impossible for several hours, in case of high fever or of blood in the stools.
