Answer from Chantal Lehmann , Expert body massage therapist:

When you have a sensitive skin, it is necessary to take extreme care of it and impose strict rules in your beauty routine.

Clean gently : Avoid cleaning your skin using facial cotton pad and instead go for a gentle cleansing milk, spreading it in upward circular and light movements using your fingers. Then, using a cotton pad soaked in micellar water or mild toner, clean thoroughly. And finally, using a tissue, dry the skin by tapping motions.

Avoid the scrubs: Scrubs with grains are a no-no! Ultra gentle exfoliating and peeling treatments can equally eliminate dead cells without irritating the skin and are much preferred.

Pamper and moisturize : Nourishing your skin daily in the morning and evening is essential, but not enough. To calm the redness and soothe the skin, adopt the gentle massaging technique using your fingertips from the inside to the outside of the face – making wave-like movements.

Hydrate without greasing : A skin rash is different from dry skin and therefore does not always need a rich cream. Regardless of the redness, choose your skincare according to your skin type (combination to oily, dry, sensitive) favouring creams with active soothing ingredients which provide comfort and reduce feelings of tightness.

Avoid : acid-based skincare (creams, serums or mask), products with tightening effect or anythng containing grains or alcohol.
