The French couturier teams up with Singapore-based online retailer to produce a capsule collection for Fidé Fashion Weeks 2013. Check it all out here.

It is every girl’s dream to wear an Haute Couture creation, even if it’s once in a lifetime. However the reality is, unless you are a royalty, celebrity or land a plum job in banking, the chances are the dream of owning one of these showpieces will remain precisely that.

But wait! All is not quite lost. Because if going to a Parisian atelier, getting measured and having a custom-made couture gown tailored just for you might be too far fetched, now it seems there is another way.

Yes, dear fashion enthusiasts, you heard us correctly! Dynamic French Couturier Julien Fournié has teamed up with Singapore-born online retailer ‘Love, Bonito’ to produce an exclusive and affordable ready-to-wear collection which will also showcase as the finale show at Fidé Fashion Weeks 2013 later this month.

You can expect a capsule collection of about 15 to 20 designs with styles including jumpsuits, rompers, blazers, short and maxi dresses, amongst others.

Glamorous yet edgy, it is certainly looking almost as good as couture and we can’t wait to get our hands on some of these limited edition pieces when they will be sold on lovebonito.com, a month after the show and with price tags ranging from S$100 to S$200 (approx. USD80 – 160).

Julien Fournié, whose atelier is based in Paris, has solidly built his reputation by working at some of the top Fashion powerhouses of our time. His resume includes stints at Christian Dior, Givenchy and Jean-Paul Gaultier prior to founding his eponymous Haute Couture label, back in 2009. He’s currently a member of the Chamber of Fashion in France (Chambre Syndicale de la Haute Couture Française) and he will be Singapore-bound in time for the show! (watch this space for an exclusive interview with the designer).

And for those who aren’t yet familiar with the fast growing ‘Love, Bonito‘, get acquainted with a label spawned from the minds of three local entrepreneurs as a small blog shop that expanded into a full blown business. They are now amongst Singapore’s biggest online retailers. If you’d like to see the collection strut down the runway before you buy, you can get tickets for the show at Fidé Fashion Weeks 2013 website.
