Before the words, our attraction is first expressed by ‘silent’ gestures, says the researcher in neurobiology Sebastian Bohler: the gaze orientation, finger gestures, choosing your best side… It is our “bodily melody,” according to Psychologist Joseph Messinger, which is often much more effective than makeup or even the words we utter after deliberation.

Here are some gestures which you can do – or might be unknowingly doing – and the meaning behind them…

TILTing your HEAD TO ONE SIDE by 45°:

That is, having your ear almost touch your shoulder. You can also throw him a quick glance before looking away and repeat such quick glance several times in a few minutes; Incline your chest forward and smile at him without showing your teeth and look down when he looks at you… this expresses your interest!

LIFTing your FACE … WITHOUT SURGERY:

“All actions which serve to frame the face are indications of passive seduction,” explains Joseph Messinger. Fingers crossed, rest your chin on them, wrists at a broken right angle … as if you were “pulling” the portrait. This is a typical posture adopted by actresses facing the photographers. With two variants, either placing your chin in your left palm, with your elbow resting on the fingers. Or put it on your lap, legs tucked against your chest. It is like a subtle way of playing the “fortress”… to better trigger a desire for conquest!

PASSing your HANDS IN THE FRINGE AND THE HAIR:

This “two in one” gesture helps reveal the eyes… and enhance the chest. placing your index, perpendicular to the edge of your lips is a direct sign of physical and sexual seduction. Touching your ear lobe (right or left) while your elbows are resting is another sign as this area is sensitive and erogenous , and it signals wanting to be caressed.

is he INTERESTED?

A visual study, filmed by researchers showed that in men, interest is manifested by many nonverbal signs: If he gives you a nod (facing you and head tilted to the side), clasp his hands behind his head, leans his torso forward toward you and crosses his legs (slightly open) whilst putting his ankle on the knee… or he often scratches his chin while he talks to you, this is an auto-manipulation gesture that betrays his secret thoughts. I.e. that’s a good sign!

DO NOT INSIST IF…

He remains indifferent… after your preliminary glance, he looks away and doesn’t turn back to you for thirty seconds: Lost case!
… He rubs his neck with the tip of his elbow facing you: You are too much.
… He sinks into his chair, leans back with his torso backwards, directs his feet outside to you, turns away: No comment…

AND… AVOID…

…Curling your eyelashes… the impression: Too narcissistic.
…Lifting your left shoulder against your chin: Too “adolescent.”
