Start your day with a visit to this beautiful lake that is near the south of Bandung. Once in its vicinity, you’ll feel like you have been transported to an alternate universe. The hypnotic turquoise colour of the lake contrasts sharply with the white ground, and it creates a surreal combination. Be prepared to be mesmerised by the true beauty of nature that photos can only hope to capture. Do catch one of the shuttle buses when you’ve reached the entrance though, or you'll be in for a long walk!

Reconnect with nature at Farmhouse Susu Lembang
With the Dutch-like architecture, this is one location you do not want to miss (even if we’re cheating a bit, since it’s technically in Lembang)! Upon entering the compound, you'll be given a coupon that can be exchanged for a cup of fresh milk (original, strawberry or chocolate) from the cows on-site. Once you are in the farmhouse, you can feed various animals like cows, rabbits and deers. And if that’s not enough to get excited about, you can even take a family photo in traditional Dutch garments to memorialise the fun outing.

And then cool off at One Eighty Coffee

Do some shopping at Paris Van Java
The locals refer to it as PVJ, but you can refer to it as shopping paradise. Your partner and child might moan about yet another shopping trip, but keep them entertained at one of the many restaurants in the area or the theatre, while you go about and treat yourself! It is a holiday, after all. Or, alternatively, spend some time at the ice-skating rink for fun for the whole family.

Take a dip in some hot springs
While hot springs are immensely popular in Japan, why not try the Ciater Hot Spring for a place closer to home? For hot sulphuric water that works to calm your aching back and soothe the knots in your neck, this is a must-visit location. But, fear not, for there are a lot more options than just sitting in a pool for hours. Have fun with the various rapids and waterfalls that will keep you sufficiently satisfied. Try the massage if you’re looking for a deeper release for your muscles.

Pick some juicy strawberries
Much like Cameron Highlands’ strawberry fields, the temperature here is perfect for the growth of our sweet red friends. There are a wide array of farms around with similar experiences: get paid for the entrance and walk around with the provided basket to pick the strawberries from the plants. Some places even provide strawberry juice at the end of the trip, so you’ll end the visit on a sweet note.
