Eat at Schwartz’s
A visit to Montréal wouldn't be complete without lining up at Schwartz's for a taste of their notoriously delicious smoked meat sandwich and a bowl of yummy poutine. It might not look much, but a bite of the succulent meat is enough to keep you coming back.

Enjoy the nightlife
Boulevard Saint Laurent is lined with clubs playing EDM music to Hip Hop, most of them charging affordable entrance fees and serving reasonably priced drinks. When your first option doesn't seem all that impressive (though very unlikely) there's a plethora of clubs on the same street to choose from and the party goes on until the AM.

Visit the Saint-Joseph’s Oratory of Mount Royal
Perched atop of a hill is Canada's biggest church, the Saint-Joseph's oratory. Some pray at each of the steps leading to the main door, believing their prayers will come true. Within the iconic dome is a vicinity worth visiting as well.

For North Americans, when Europe is too far and too pricey for a short weekend getaway, they head over to the Canadian equivalent: Montréal.

It’s the perfect mix of the unparalleled Canadian hospitality, an aesthetically pleasant European landscape and the North American lifestyle. Though notorious for its extremely cold temperatures in the winter, Montréal offers a different scene come Spring and Summer time. The French-speaking town is filled with festivals by day and a merry nightlife scene when the sun is down.

Its gothic architecture though, is captivating 24/7. When not appreciating the old Montréal and hopping from one quaint little shop to another, you should get a taste of the city’s famous dishes, namely the poutine (crisp fries drowned in gravy and cheese curds) and smoked meat sandwich.
