Tired of carrying those bulky camera bags on holidays? Check out the more convenient – and fashionable – alternative we have just discovered.

There is no denial that smart phone cameras now have a far more advanced technology that is getting better by the day. But the avid photographers among us know that to get those facebook-cover worthy photos (or even National Geographic cover if you’re that keen!) you need a good professional camera.

Made to capture those unforgettable scenes and memories, regardless of how good our phone cameras are, DSLRs are a must-have on adventure trips as well as chic city escapes. But practically speaking, who wants to carry a bulky – often masculine and aesthetically unpleasing – bag to fit all what’s needed for all its equipment?

Guys might be able to cope but for us fashionable ladies – we needed an alternative. And we have finally found one, namely a new Singapore-based brand Aide de Camp which designs functional and stylish bags that address this issue and support women in their busy lifestyles – and travels.

The brand’s first collection features smart premium camera bags in sleek silhouettes, that you can carry around proudly while strolling the streets of Paris, and capturing the breath-taking lights on the Eiffel Tower at night.

The bags fit not only the camera gear, but also personal items – and are more than stylish enough to carry for a day out about town.

The brainchild of entrepreneur and photography enthusiast Michele Ng, Aide de Camp has been two years in the making before finally launching this year.

We love the bags for they address many concerns of DSLR or mirrorless camera owners like ourselves. They are lightweight, spacious and contain removable paddings which allows us to carry them with or without the camera. They also have multiple compartments so things don’t get lost. On top of that they look discreet and stylish so no one would guess you are carrying a camera equipment – something which comes in handy especially in lesser safe places.

Our favourite has to be the classic-looking Rei bag – worthy of being titled ‘The Little Black Dress of Camera Bags’, don’t you think?

Aide de Camp bags are available online with worldwide shipping.
