Road trips can be long and arduous and if it's a journey that spans day and night, you're going to be needing some shut eye. A pillow can make a world of difference when you're trying to sleep in a moving vehicle. Be sure to have blankets too, in case it gets cold at night.

First aid kit
A first aid kit would definitely come in handy if any personal injury happens while you're on the road and miles away from a hospital. Better safe than sorry!

Car emergency kit
No matter the distance of your road trip, the car emergency kit is a must have. The last thing you want is a delay in your journey thanks to a stalled engine!

Toiletries
Being on the road is no excuse to be dirty and unkempt. Be sure to bring the essentials -toothbrush, tootpaste, face wash, and dry shampoo so you'll look presentable when you finally arrive at your destination.

Embarking on a road trip is all fun and exciting until you get lost and find yourself circling the same park 10 times. Avoid quarrels or bickering with your fellow road trippers by having a functioning GPS installed in your car.

Unless you're prepared to pay cut throat prices for water at all those rest stops, it's best to come prepared with your own water. Besides, some places might not have clean drinking water.
