This May, immerse yourself with the taste of wine from all over the world and mingle with fellow wine enthusiasts at the biggest such event in the region.

Wine enthusiasts rejoice because this is the wine event of the year. Mark out 27-29 of May on your calendar and book the next flight to Hong Kong as Vinexpo Asia-Pacific 2014 is back – this time bigger, and better.

Following the resounding success that the wine exhibition witnessed in 2012 when the number of exhibitors crossed the symbolic thousand, expect more than 1300 companies to set up at the exhibition this year. Producers all the way from the United States, France, Australia, Japan and many more will be present, not forgetting a significantly greater presence from Italy and Spain as well. Keep a look out for prestigious brands like the House of Armagnac Château du Breuil, Devaux, Henriot, Palmer & Co because these are companies that you most definitely do not want to miss out on. Seeing the participation of numerous big players in the wine industry, it is no wonder that Vinexpo Asia-Pacific has to occupy 50% more space as compared to the previous edition!

Be prepared to dish out your treasure trove of knowledge with fellow wine fanatics on that bottle of 1978 Romanée-Conti Grand Cru you’ve been coveting during the exhibition and exchange your views on wine – over wine – during master classes, conferences and tastings of wine from France, South Africa, Portugal, Chile, Spain, and even spirit wines.

As British wine critic Michael Broadbent puts it, “Drinking good wine with good food in good company is one of life’s most civilized pleasures.” Good wine; checked. Good company; checked. Now we’re just crossing our fingers that there’ll be a juicy wagyu steak awaiting us as we sip on a glass of Cabernet Savignon..
