Colour your hair
It’s best to stick with your natural hair colour for your big day but if you’d like to switch up your look (because you happen to look good blonde) then get your dye job done a week and a half before your big day so your hair is freshly coloured with no unsightly roots spoiling your look. The same principle applies for highlights and lowlights.

Test your hairdo
If you plan to spot a new hairdo for the wedding, it’s best to try out the new style a good three months before the event. This way, you’ll get to see if the new do is compatible with your face, makeup and the overall look you’re going for. What may look good on Pinterest or your favourite celeb might not look as nice on you. When consulting your stylist, be sure to take any hair accessories you’d like to wear on the day, including a veil if there is one, so you get to try on different looks and see which one suits you best. Take pictures from all angles to see how you’ll be appearing in those wedding photos. Above all, make sure you’re comfortable with the hairstyle. If it’s too tight or too high-maintenance you’re going to have a tough time enjoying yourself on your wedding day.

Teeth whitening
You’re going to be smiling a lot on your big day so it’s important to ensure you’re only flashing everyone the shiniest of pearly whites. Very few people are born with naturally white teeth and to achieve those levels of Hollywood whites, you’re going to need a helping hand either from a cosmetic dentist or off the counter teeth whitening products. If you plan to go down the professional route, it’s best to schedule an appointment two to three weeks before your wedding for the best results. If you’re on a budget and want to DIY, you’re going to need a five week headstart for similar results.

Shape your brows
Your brows can make or break your look. Make sure you get them shaped to suit your face. With eyebrow hair, you should groom them five or seven days before the wedding so you won’t have to deal with redness or irritation.

Get a facial
A radiant bride has got to have a radiant complexion. If the stress of planning your big day is showing up on your skin, don’t panic. Keep calm and treat your skin to facials at least two weeks before your wedding day. Do not attempt any new facial treatments a few days before the wedding, lest you have an allergic reaction and end up with a splotchy face.

Manicures/ Pedicures
They may not be the most prominent body parts but chipped nails or unsightly toes just won’t do for your important day. Get them groomed with a manicure and pedicure the day before the wedding so you won’t have to risk getting a chipped nail or polish smudges days before the wedding. Don’t forget there’s going be a camera doing close ups of your fingers during the exchanging of rings!

Get a full body wax
If you have unwanted hair in on your body, deal with it by getting a wax a week before your wedding. This will give it enough time for any swelling and redness to go down and you’ll sure be grateful you did a full body wax on the night of your honeymoon.

Slim down
Everyone has their own dress size goal. If you’re looking to drop down a few dress sizes to fit into your dream gown, it’s best to start working out a year before the wedding date. If you don’t think you have the discipline, then perhaps you should look into joining a slimming program a good 6 months away from the wedding. This will give you ample time to decide which is the ideal weight you want to be for the wedding.
