Leave your wedding guests stunned when you stroll down the aisle in a memorable gown.

To many women, a white gown complete with a sheer veil is a staple for any modern wedding. The innocence, purity and timelessness that an all-white dress exudes is clear. For some, the idea of picking a colour other than the classic white may be unthinkable, especially to those who want a formal Christian wedding.

The notion of a white wedding dress originally stemmed from a popular trend among Victorian era elites, after Queen Victoria wore a white lace dress to her wedding. Subsequently, majority of the Western world embraced this idea and today, it is now routine to have a white wedding in many other cultures.

There is no doubt that a white dress can be elegant and beautiful. However, if you’re looking to tie the knot soon, you might want to consider a dress with a little more flair. Would a regal gown of gold lace impress your partner and leave stars in his eyes? Or perhaps an alluring soft cream or shimmering pastel pink might intrigue some of your guests. Of course, a wedding is no time to experiment wildly, but if you are daring, you might want to try on a few out-of-the-box hues beforehand to pick a perfect shade that will suit your body and your personality.

Make your special day a memorable one for you, your beau, and your family too! Have a look through the gallery above to find your new favourite bridal dress.
