Make a stand against cruelty by opting for these awesome Korean cruelty-free beauty brands!

If you love your Korean beauty brands, you’re not alone. Boasting of advanced skincare technology and product formulation, it is no wonder that the beauty world has started to shift its gaze towards K-beauty to follow its lead. However, as effective as these products are, many of these brands aren’t necessarily cruelty-free.

What is Cruelty-Free?

In beauty, cruelty-free is a label for products that do not harm or kill animals. Products that are tested on animals are not considered cruelty-free as these tests often inflict pain and cause the suffering and death of millions of animals each year. For one, the Korean brands that sell in China are required to test on animals, meaning they aren’t cruelty-free. These include popular labels like Etude House, Laneige and more.

Fret not – this does not mean you have to give up K-beauty entirely. Fortunately, there are cruelty-free Korean beauty brands that promise effective, ethically-produced products that are both great for your skin and conscience. If you’re a conscious consumer, you may want to consider switching to these brands instead. Check them out in the gallery above!
