Aesop’s latest fragrance has a creative combination of citrus, basil and vetiver notes – which is nothing short of refreshing!

Inspired by traditional Eau de Cologne and the aromas of the Mediterranean coast, Aesop is all ready to launch their brand new fragrance –  Aesop Tacit.

Tacit as a word refers to knowledge that’s implicitly understood rather than directly communicated directly, and in itself represents the elusive fragrance profile of the scent – one that needs to be experienced rather than explained. Nonetheless, we’ll try.

Tacit is Aesop’s second perfume and has notes that include citrus, basil and vetiver. Developed by perfumer Céline Barel, the source of Vetiver is from Haiti and is refined via the process of fractional distillation to bring out the strength of the note even more. The citrus note gives the fragrance the underlying subtle spiced scent. The last Basil note is sourced from Egypt and what is interesting here is the process by which these notes have been extracted. While the vetiver note was extracted via fractional distillation, the basil note was done through hydro distillation.

Packaged in Aesop’s standard brown glass bottle, Tacit comes as a 50ml eau de parfum. The new fragrance is also housed in a beautiful packaging designed by Australian artist Jonathan McCabe. So if you are looking for a new fragrance to add on your carousel, try it for yourself in-store from September onwards. We know we want to.

Aesop Tacit Eau De Parfum will be available from 5th September 2015 at Aesop Singapore and will retail at SGD135.
