We’re sieving through our nail polish stash and picking out the timeless lacquers that we’ll restock over and over again.

We can’t really go bare – on our nails that is. Instead of depriving our fingertips the colour they so crave, you’ll find the team at Marie France Asia always with a new hue on their nails. However, when it comes to our all time favourite shade – the one we reach out to when we just can’t decide – there’s only one that truly makes us happy. Here are our picks, who knows you might just have to add these to your nail polish stash!

Covet London ‘Celebrate’, SGD38

“I really find it hard to master nail art – and have little patience and time to even try – so when it comes to nail polish, I like to achieve the maximum effect with the least amount of work possible. Hence my favourite shade is the most understated gold hue I could find – Covet London’s Celebrate – which adds an elegant sparkle to my nails and matches my rings. I also love how long lasting the formula is and the fact the particles are so smooth so it doesn’t look like confetti had exploded on my nails, plus it matches all my outfits. Christmas and New Year might have gone already but who said it’s the only time we can celebrate?”

Essie Size Matters, approx. SGD12

“Honestly, this is really hard to decide – I love all my polishes! It’s the one beauty item I can’t say no to. So since I love maroons on my nails, the one polish that doesn’t disappoint is Essie Size Matters – all it takes is 2 coats for a coat of timeless brilliance.”

OPI Did You ‘Ear About Van Gogh, approx. SGD21.40

“I’m not much of a nail girl because somehow, my polish always tends to smudge and chip 1 – 2 days after application. With that being said, I love a good nude nail polish – my ultimate favourite is OPI’s Did You ‘Ear About Van Gogh. As a classic cool toned nude, this varnish goes with everything and works very well with tanned skin!”

OPI Russian Navy, approx. SGD22

“I’m not a fan of light colours on my nails so my usual go-to shade is this absolutely gorgeous indigo. Love its subtle iridescence and mystical vibe. While this shade is already perfect on its own, layer it with OPI’s Polka for a mini colour party on your nails, which will leave you feeling like a mermaid for the next few days.”

Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure in Mudslide, approx. SGD11.12

“I think every girl should have at least one pink nail polish in her collection. This shade is neutral enough to go with most outfits, plus it doesn’t chip while I furiously type away on my keyboard.”

OPI Bright Lights Big Colour, approx. SGD24

“These days, my go-to nail polish is OPI Bright Lights Big Colour. The coral nail lacquer can be paired with almost any outfit and it’s definitely the perfect shade for summer. Plus it’s a rather feminine colour which really stands out!”

OPI I Theodora You, approx. SGD 24

“Doing my nails is my idea of relaxation. Changing and trying out new colours is one of my favourite things to do but the one polish that I couldn’t do without is OPI’s I Theodora You – this shade of light baby pink is just easy to pull off, especially during the summer. I find that it looks amazing if you have darker skin. ”

Chanel Rogue Noir, approx. SGD37

“I must own more than 50 shades of nail polishes in my stash! A light yellow for summer, a dozen of red – I’m probably the only person to see the difference between them – and some glittery ones for special occasions. But, the only one that I restock before it reaches the end of the bottle is Chanel Rouge Noir. I like its intensity – one coat gives a pretty dark red and two coats is just perfect.”
