Now’s the perfect time to use your CC cream – in the blistering weather of spring.

If you still don’t know what CC creams are, you’re not alone. It’s funny how the BB (beauty balm) creams have gone almost unnoticed after the launches of the newer CC (colour correction) creams. And, let’s just leave the new DD (daily defence) creams for another day.

First of all, if you’re looking for a skincare product that colour corrects, primes, offers some protection against the sun, aids in stopping wrinkles – then the C-alphabet cream’s the right one for you.

So to begin using, here are 5 things you need to know about CC creams:

  1. Ensure that the shade matches your skin tone: Choose one with more shades so that it can be easily blended, and for a natural looking coverage.
  2. Check the SPF value: We recommend using at least SPF 30 for a full day long-lasting coverage.
  3. Don’t depend on it entirely for complete coverage: Generous application of the CC cream may not be enough to protect your face from the harmful sunrays. Add on light sun-block.
  4. Don’t replace your daily moisturiser with it: Testers have discovered that the creams don’t hydrate as much.
  5. Apply it in the morning after your face wash and toner: Use it like your usual moisturiser application. Squeeze out a drop or two and apply it directly with your ring fingers – lightest pressure on your eye areas.
