Heat and light breaks down the perfume and lessens the quality of the fragrance. Instead, store them in cool dry spots to ensure its longevity like in your vanity drawers away from the windows or another great place is the refrigerator!

Wait for the perfume to dry down completely
Always wait for the perfume to dry down before giving it a whiff. Because the very first scent you smell as soon as the fragrance is sprayed is the top note, which disappears after a few minutes. The true scent that would be sticking with you throughout the day is the one that has dried down completely.

Target pulse points and warmer areas
In order to make the whiff of your fragrance encapsulate your whole body, you need to target your pulse points - the points where blood vessels are closer to the surface of the skin making them warmer better evaporating the fragrance. A few of the best pulse points: inside the wrists and elbows, the neck and chest area, behind the knees, ankles, and calves.

Use the right type of perfume for longevity
Understanding perfume concentrations might help you with picking out the best longevity of a scent. Fragrances with the highest concentration of oil last longer with just a spritz. For instance, eau de parfums contain 15-20% of essential oils which lasts up to 4-5 hours making them more costly compared to eau de toilettes and colognes, which only has 5-15% of essential oils and can last up to 2-3 hours.

You might want to consider choosing a perfume with a woodsy base note as they tend to have better staying power. Scents with citrus base notes tend to disappear the fastest!

To ensure your fragrance lasting longer, try rubbing the miracle salve before spraying your perfume. Just like how it locks in moisture in your skin, Vaseline also traps the alcohol-based scents, making it last longer than usual.
