As our skin ages, we tend to realise that it’s starting to look more lackluster and lacking the definition it’s supposed to have. This happens when your body loses water and is not as plump. Over time, these lines become wrinkles which can be difficult to correct if not addressed early on.

If you are not keen on going under the knife, an alternative way to rejuvenate your complexion is to use fillers. These will provide a quicker and more effective result than your skincare products which may take time to deliver results. Wrinkle fillers are non-invasive, quick and are considered by many industry professionals to be a relatively fuss-free procedure.

Known as dermal fillers, they can be administered for individuals struggling with skin concerns such as signs of drooping lips, sagging skin or even tired skin. These fillers help to plump up areas where there is a significant loss of volume and helps to reduce the appearance of premature wrinkles.

Depending on the type of wrinkle filler used, the effects can last for a period of time. If you are choosing Hyaluronic Acid fillers, the effects vary depending on the type you choose. Suppose you’re getting a quick fix for your big day, choosing Restylane (a type of Hyaluronic Acid wrinkle filler) will not only have you looking radiant on the most important day of your life, the effects will last for at least 6 months.  Non-Hyaluronic Acid wrinkle fillers such as Sculptra last for much longer (i.e. up to 3 years)

It is important to note though that Hyaluronic Acid fillers are reversible while Non- Hyaluronic Acid fillers are not. Hence it is important to choose a clinic you’re comfortable with and proceed with caution.
