Day & Night: How to wear bright eyeshadow colours?

To test the waters on your new makeup look, start small. Try to replace your usual black eyeliner with a generous stroke of bright eyeshadow instead. To get the best out of the colour, mix it with some primer or wet your angled brush before dipping it into your eyeshadow.

Coloured all-over
If you're up for the next level, it's time for an all-over coloured lid. Use a dense brush to apply your chosen bright eyeshadow from lash line to crease. If you have hooded or single eyelids, use the halfway point between your lash line and eyebrow as a mark where the colour should end. Take a large blending brush and diffuse the edges of the eyeshadow to blend out any harsh lines. Be generous with your mascara or draw on winged eyeliner to add definition and give yourself a wide-eyed look.

For the evening, glam up your party look and amp up the drama by adding a touch of black eyeshadow to the outer corners of your eyes. Create a hazy, sultry cat eye look with an angled brush, or blend some dark eyeshadow to the outer crease. Balance out the top eyelid with some of that same dark eyeshadow on your lower lid.
