How to remove sunscreen residue on the skin?

After a long day of wearing and slathering on sunscreen, there tends to be slight traces of it left on our skin. Here’s how you can get rid of it.

Sunscreen mists and creams with light textures tend to easily penetrate into the skin and then becomes difficult to remove after a long day at the beach. To get rid of it completely, a simple shower is not at all enough as per the advice of Julien Kaibeck, co-author of Slow Cosmetic, Visual Guide (ed. Leduc.S).

Instead start by showering with a foaming shower gel that’s very soft and rich in natural glycerin. That will be able to carry out a “full body makeup removal” and get rid of sunscreen residue, allowing the skin to breathe again. While it’s an essential step for adults, it’s also crucial for children as they have the thinnest skin.

After you have dried off, use a delicate sponge soaked in apricot oil or almond to thoroughly clean the skin. Finally remove the excess impurities with a cloth soaked in recyclable flower hydrosol.

With this regimen memorised, you’ll be able to say hello to smooth skin within minutes!
