Long day at work? Sleepless nights? It could have a detrimental effect on your skin. Discover some expert tips and tricks on how to rejuvenate.

Hear it from skin expert and L’Oréal Paris global facialist Joëlle Ciocco herself as she shares her insight on treating stressed, fatigued skin.

First step:

I prepare my skin by cleaning it twice: first to remove dirt and makeup, and the second time to treat blemishes. By investing in the right peeling product, you can remove dead skin cells that dull your complexion.

Massaging:

Before applying my skincare, I lightly pinch my face with my thumb and index finger, and do a palper-rouler subdermal massage technique.

I work my way up from the base of my neck, the contours of my face (especially areas where face fat tends to stay) and proceed to massage the cheeks rather smoothly. I make a duck face and focus on the outer perimeter of my lips. I end the ritual by doing the palper-rouler on my crow’s feet and other wrinkles. It’s ideal to perform this facial fitness between two to three times per week, for three to four minutes.

Finally, I tone and refresh my skin by softly hitting my cheeks and then continue to apply my skincare products.

Skin SOS:

Every day, to release stress and tension on my face, I perform a relaxation routine on my T-zone area by pressing my fingers against my face in a circular motion.

Solutions at home:

I take out my tea collection and choose from thyme, verbena, lime tree or rosemary, and put it in a bowl of boiling water. With a towel wrapped around my head, I breathe in the steam for five full minutes.

I also avoid hearty dinners which make me feel tired. To give my complexion a refreshing boost, I keep my meals light with a hot lemon or lime mixed with a spoonful of honey in warm water.
