Dreaming of big, voluminous curly hair? Then you might want to try plopping, the new method that’s all the rage on the ever so useful Internet. This technique is 100% natural — without the need of harsh chemicals that are harmful to your precious mane — and easy to follow!

Plopping in four steps

First off, wash your hair. Once rinsed, clean off conditioner or masks and wring your hair dry. Tilt your head forward and shake your hair to form natural loops. Feel free to apply some hair vitamins or care products for curly hair here.

For the next step, you’re going to need a microfibre towel or alternatively, a T-shirt. Lay it flat and place your hair in the middle. Then fold the towel or the shirt towards the back of the head by twisting the two ends and tying them behind your head with a rubber band.

The final step is to sit back and wait in patience. It’s best to let your hair dry a few hours while wrapped in the towel. If you have to rush off somewhere, try drying your mane with a hairdryer through the towel. And voilah! Effortlessly bouncy curls!
