Born from the idea that makeup brushes have yet to evolve, Artís brushes are modern, sleek and offer an easier, more comfortable way of makeup application.

Since we first began swatching lipsticks and mixing eyeshadows, we’ve seen makeup come a pretty long way. From thick, mask-like foundations to barely there BB creams. But the one beauty item that hasn’t really changed much? Makeup brushes. These holy grail tools have, for the most part, embodied the same shape, fibres and designs but Artís Brushes is on a mission to change that notion.

Founded by a former M.A.C Cosmetics senior executive, these brushes, which at a glance could be mistaken for a silver spoon or fancy toothbrush, are not only pleasing to the eye, but also promise a more efficient and comfortable application. According to Artís, your everyday makeup brush is prone to patchy applications and can often take a lot of tapping and blending to build colour.

As for Artís, their sleek, futuristic-looking brushes are packed with super-soft hair fibres. The cruelty-free tools feature ‘microscopically tapered ends’, leaving us with an even layer of product and absolutely no shedding. Ranging from skinny brushes for the eyes to large brushes for the face, the collection is made up of 10 tools that are easy to use and embody rubber grips – making them comfortable to hold.

The tools also have a simple cleaning system – it really only takes a couple of seconds. Instead of using the regular baby shampoo and water routine, all you need to use is the Artís antimicrobial microfiber cleaning pad – a simple swipe of this and you can say goodbye to unwanted makeup residues.

The Artís makeup brushes are available internationally on www.artisbrush.com, and range from approx. SGD43 for a set of 3 brushes to approx. SGD475 for a set of 10.
