Could a Harajuku Girls-inspired collection be in talks? Only time will tell.
Urban Decay Cosmetics’s first celebrity collaboration is here and they’ve teamed up with none other than No Doubt’s Gwen Stefani to kick off a promising series of collabs to come. With the beauty brand’s success (just look at cult favourites like the Naked palettes and its remade counterparts so far) in products that have become many women’s holy grails, we don’t doubt for a minute that this new venture will be a soaring hit.
While the cosmetics giant has yet to reveal much besides its excitement for the new collection, we’re hoping at least one bright red lipstick will be in the mix! Gwen Stefani has had a career that spans decades and in every one of her phases – through No Doubt, to Harajuku Girls, and now as the judge of The Voice – her hair and beauty looks have not been excluded from the fun.
The blonde rock star has a knack for keeping her rockabilly winged eyeliner and red lips her signatures, but look back on her past in music and you’ll see that she was never shy to experiment with different looks. From bindis to pencil-thin eyebrows and the ultimate pioneer in the Angelica of Rugrats hairdo as seen on Miley Cyrus and Rihanna, the game-changer knows her way around beauty. Only time will tell as we await (im)patiently for product releases on the #UDxGwen collab this November.
For now, we’ll just have to look back on the singer’s most iconic beauty looks of late.
