Trend alert: Sticking pom poms on your nails is now a thing
Nail art trends are just getting bigger and crazier.
2016 may just be in its third month but we have seen many quirky nail art trends making their presence felt already. The latest to be added to the list are Pom-Pom nails.
First seen in South Korea, the trend sees women sticking fuzzy little balls (in the shape of pom poms) onto their nails. These pom poms vary in shape, size and texture. Most often, the designs involve fun and bright colours such as pink, blue or even yellow to name a few. This trend is not the most home-friendly as it might hinder you from doing most of your daily tasks efficiently but it is certainly a great trend to rock during a party or special occasion for a change.
This trend is easily replicated at home. Start off by applying a base coat on your nails so as to protect your natural nail bed. To allow the pom-pom to stand out, we recommend using a nude or pastel nail shade. Once your nail colour has set, apply a layer of top coat and while it is still tacky, stick the pom-pom on. You can choose to stick it anywhere on the nail from the base to the tips.
