Cult Item: Clinique’s iconic moisturizing emulsion – reformulated
updated the 17 August 2015 à 11:26The moisturizing lotion from Clinique’s legendary ‘3 step skincare’ is updated after 45 years of success!
An Immediate Success
In 1968, when Dr. Norman Orentreich and the editor of American Vogue, Carol Phillips, launched Clinique and its ‘3 Step Skin Care’, it was the first cosmetic brand to be developed by a dermatologist. Very quickly, this beauty routine which contains a mild soap, clarifying lotion and moisturizing emulsion became a cult must-have.
A reformulation
In 45 years, the world has changed and of course, women too. The barrier of our skin is weakened and it results in itching, loss of luster, blemishes, skin dryness, irritation… all triggered by our lifestyle and some external aggressions.
It took more than 6 years, 3 dermatologists, 53 researchers and over 100 tested formulas to achieve an optimal result: an emulsion enriched with hyaluronic acid, glycerin and urea. Better suited to our modern needs, the new formula is twice as moisturizing and a joy to apply.
Here’s to another 45 years!
Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion (USD22.16 for 50ml and USD$47.48 for 125ml) is now available at Clinique counters in major department stores.
