Get your bespoke perfume at Fragrance Lab in Selfridges

Wearing a perfume that suits you well is a very important thing and as Christian Dior himself said "A woman's perfume tells more about a her than her handwriting". Hence, because perfume is one of the most important things for a woman, the London studios Campaign and The Future Laboratory have created the Fragrance Lab at Selfridges department store in London. A lab where visitors can find their own signature scent that will perfectly match their personality.
Curious to know how it works? We were as well and we tried it: For 15-minutes you are invited to live a unique experience during which numerous questions are asked on an iPad and you are given a test that will enable lab technicians to perceive your olfactory personality picture.
More precisely, you will have a set of headphones and an audio guide that talks you through the trip around the laboratory. You should answer questions about your opinion, select pictures you like and smell, in front of a mirror, a variety of pleasant and unpleasant scents that have been selected to stimulate special memories.
At the end of the immersive experience, a lab technician explains to you the personality analysis and why the specific fragrance was selected for you. Then for £65, you will have your 50ml signature scent bottle created by expert perfumer Givaudan.
