Singapore’s latest lifestyle hub in the west, Jem, makes their Hip Parade a grand and fashionable affair

If you live in the West of Singapore or if the fashionista in you has simply been looking for a mall that has it all, Jem is the place to visit. The first fashion and lifestyle destination in Singapore’s west side and third-largest suburban mall, Jem brings with it a uniquely trendy advantage over other malls in the country. To alert Singapore of their arrival, they have hosted a “Hip Parade” on the 17th of April and made quite the grand affair of it.

The parade, executed with pomp and pride, featured 150 looks, from 39 retailers at Jem, created specifically in accordance with the “Art Pop”, “Florals” and “Urban” themes for the occasion, in a bid to display a “runway to reality” showcase of the hot trends for Spring/Summer2014.

The parade opened with top model Vivien Ong taking the stage in all her elegance, sparking off the beginning of an evening spectacle of colourful prints and styles. The event was curated by prominent Singapore fashion figure Daniel Boey and noteworthy appearances were made by MTV VJ Alan Wong, actor/model/host Rich Herrera, Class 95FM DJ Yasmine Cheng, YES 933FM DJ Ivy Tan and stage actor Brandon Fernandez.

The show opened with Robinsons and closed with Marks & Spencer, in an extensive and vibrant line up of some of the latest looks for men, women and children.

In addition to lively music and performances that complemented the fashion show, fashion installations were set up at Jem Atrium, which feature the themes for the latest fashion trend. These installations will be periodically updated according to the ever-changing fashion trends,

Jem is also having a fashion campaign, which will run until the 4th of May. Three lucky shoppers who spend $50 stand the chance to win a pair of return air tickets to London, Paris or New York.  So head down to Jem for a truly fashionable shopping experience.
