NARS teams up with Christopher Kane for a makeup collection

Everyone’s favourite beauty giant will be releasing their collaborative collection with the London-based designer pretty soon! Here’s what to look out for.
Beyond innovative formulations and new packaging or branding, what particularly thrills us is when beauty brands indulge in collaborations, whether it be with artists, musicians or fashion designers.
Cosmetics giant, NARS has not shied away from collaborators over the last couple of years and this time they’re adding London-based designer, Christopher Kane to the mix – the first time they’re teaming up with a fashion designer actually. After having worked makeup magic backstage during the designer’s shows for the past 6 seasons, clearly, it was time to bring their partnership to the forefront. Featuring lip glosses, highlighters, blushes and eyeshadows, the 10-piece collection is primped perfectly for Spring with Christopher Kane’s choice of snazzy bold colours. Additionally, the collection will see a brand new blush and a Illuminating Multiple shade that has only been used at the Christopher Kane’s Spring/ Summer 2015 show, that is since the announcement of this collaboration of course.
Packaged in the iconic matte black finishing of NARS with the logo emblazoned in hot pink and ‘Christopher Kane’ interlaced within it, the products exude just as much electric vibe as does the designer with his eclectic and exuberant designs. In essence, the collab makes absolute sense as both brands cater to the woman who loves to make a statement and yet doesn’t take herself too seriously. And, well, that sounds a lot of us!

The NARS X Christopher Kane collection will be available from mid-April 2015.
