Christmas is one of the holidays most people look forward to every year. It is a joyous occasion where we get to catch up with loved ones, look back and appreciate the good times the past year has brought, and… did someone say presents? Of course, we would never forget the highlight of the season!

However, although Christmas appears to be a festival full of joy and cheer, the preparation leading up to 25 December can be tedious. We know how stressful buying presents can be, especially when you’ve run out of ideas on what to gift your loved ones. Did you know, according to a survey done by The Body Shop, that a whopping 89% of people feel this way? You are definitely not alone!

Help save the earth with The Body Shop

Well, not to worry. Where there’s a will, there’s a way. Every Christmas, The Body Shop partners with a non-profit community to bring to its customers its Bio-Bridges programme, a campaign that aims to restore 75 million square metres of forest by 2020! On top of the original project location situated in Vietnam’s Khe Nuoc Trong forest, the brand is extending help to Indonesia’s Batang Toru forest and the Endau Rompin landscape in Malaysia, in order to protect several endangered species such as the Red-shanked Douc, the Sumatran Orangutan and the Malayan tiger.

For every specially selected Christmas gift you purchase from The Body Shop, you will play a part in protecting 1 square metre of these forests.
