Vintage Sweets: RMK Spring/ Summer 2015 collection

Walking into a makeup store evokes a lot of the same emotions that kids feel when spotting a candy store from across the mall. The aisles and rows of neatly placed products and the colours just greeting you at every turn is the perfect set up for a makeup aficionado’s version of a carnival. And if you love both candies and makeup, then we have a double treat just for you.

RMK’s latest offering of polishes, blushes, glosses and mascaras will no doubt conjure up an entire carnival-esque dreamscape as soon as you lays eyes on them. The candy-like hues matched with vibrant swirls create a confetti of delightful fantasies where fluffy cotton candy and sweet treats are the ultimate indulgent snack

Now once you’re done with that little daydream, switch back to reality for a bit as it’s time to plan what exactly you intend to adopt into your summer beauty arsenal – our obvious pick being the dual-shade mascara of course. And if you’re one to consistently wear dark hues on your nails, eyes or lips, then this might just be the perfect opportunity to experiment with soft pastels – if you’ve yet to hop on the bandwagon that is.

So before we lose ourselves in those illusory swirls, here are just some of the delectable bits to try.

RMK Sweet Sugar Eyes (SGD52):

Just like candy strips in a box, the eyeshadow palette comes in two shades divided into stripes. Blend the colours together to create a beautiful sheer finish that’ll shimmer off the apples of your cheeks like how crystals of sugar illuminate in the light.

RMK W Color Mascara (SGD65):

RMK Vintage Candy Cheeks (SGD49):

Take your blusher brush and mix up this two-shade cheek colour for a soft, radiant glow. From subtle Pink to Rose, Red Rose and Mocha Brown, you can give your cheeks colour or highlight and bronze it to your preference.

RMK Vintage Drop Gloss (SGD30):

Give your lips a natural rosy tint with these lip glosses that come in swizzle stick packaging. The applicator is small and nifty enough to ensure your lips are coloured smoothly and evenly.

RMK Nail Color EX (SGD25):
