Amidst the sea of colours, Janine Chang stood out in this luxurious black gown by Georges Hobeika. The sleeved boat neck bodice paired with the billowy skirt created a lovely silhouette for the 32 year-old actress. We especially love the twirling floral veins that go down the skirt to create a gorgeous ethereal look.

Fan Bingbing
As usual Fan Bingbing never fails to be the sublime beauty that she is at any red carpet event. Decked out in a stunning Stephane Rolland couture gown, that featured sheer elements, the actress complemented the look with her hair neatly tucked into a bun, sultry eys and a bright poppy lip.

Could she do any wrong?

Qu Jingjing
While Qu Jingjing's ivory number wasn't entirely exquisite on first glance, we love that the bustier goes beyond your usual design and the sleek slit on the side creates a subtle show of skin. Pairing the delicate gown with a shiny box clutch and strappy sandals, the Chinese actress had the minimal and sophisticated look down pat.

Fann Wong
Invited to the film festival as guest speaker, Fann Wong dazzled on the red carpet in a brilliant Naeem Khan number. The ambassador of Marie France Bodyline looked exceptionally exquisite and radiant in the figure-hugging nude coloured gown. Let's be honest, we're all a little jealous of her svelte figure post-pregnancy.

Ruby Lin
Attending the occasion in a baby blue halter neck dress by Taiwanese fashion house, Shiatzy Chen, Ruby Lin looked like an oriental dream. From the sleek and elegant elements to the classic Mandarin collar, all we can say is the Taiwanese actress was as glamourous as glamourous could get.

Wang Luodan
After the slew of gowns and dresses that made an appearance, Wang Luodan's all white pantsuit was a much needed breather on the red carpet. Looking spiffy in the Versace two piece, the Chinese actress sure knew how to make the menswear-inspired outfit look downright beautiful on her figure.

Liu Yifei and Song Seung-heon
How could anyone say no to this divine dress from Zuhair Murad? The young Chinese actress floated onto the runway as the side panels of the dress wafted along, in true fairytale princess style. With her hair up in a chic chignon and the dashing Song Seung-heon by her arm, we have to say she was quite the starlet at the film festival.

Li Bingbing
The statuesque actress, Li Bingbing continues to drop jaws despite donning a rather simple pastel yellow gown. With her hair slicked back allowing full attention to fall on her luxurious necklace, we couldn't help but be in awe of her impeccable sartorial sense. Those white pointed pumps that peek out from under the asymmetrical hem serve as the perfect finishing touch!

The who’s who of the industry descended upon one of Asia’s biggest film festivals – the 18th Shanghai International Film Festival – decked to the glamourous nines. While all excitement was naturally reserved for the cinematic celebration of Asian movies, that’s not too say we weren’t in the least bit jumpy to see all the incredibly stunning actresses walk down the red carpet.

From Fan Bingbing wowing the crowd with her usual on-point style – this time in a beautiful Stephane Rolland Couture gown – to actress Wang Luodan arriving in an unexpected but sleek Versace pant suit, and our very own Fann Wong looking the epitome of elegance in an embellished silver tulle Naeem Khan dress – clearly the style meter was off the charts.
