This was the book we were all waiting for – a tell-all by Hollywood’s most hardworking funny woman, Tina Fey. The bestselling book stayed on the New York Times Bestselling list for five weeks after its release, and for good reason. Fey is razor sharp with her wits and will leave you laughing out loud.

I Hate Everyone… Starting with Me by Joan Rivers
It wouldn’t be a list of comediennes without Joan Rivers. The bestselling book won’t disappoint readers, it does try to be offensive in a way only Rivers can be. No one, not even Rivers herself is spared from her signature brand of scathing humour. Full of hilarious observations, we recommend you do not read this one in public, as it will leave you in tears of laughter.

Yes Please by Amy Poehler
Though she does spend several pages complaining about writing a book, fans will not be disappointed by Poelher’s tell-all. From Lesley Knope to recreational drug usage, the SNL alum recounts her experiences quite sporadically, but funny nonetheless.

Very early on, Silverman warns you that you won’t have much to take away from her book, “I'm not writing this book to share wisdom or to inspire people. I'm writing this book because I'm a famous comedian.” The controversial comedienne’s book is mostly a collection of stories about her life, which can sometimes be heartbreaking. Still, it is an entertaining read that showcases Silverman’s intelligence and humour.

How does anyone stay friends with Aisha Tyler? She’s smart, funny, successful, tall and maddeningly beautiful. She hosts the rebooted Whose Line is it Anyway, stars in the hit series Archer and even appeared on several episodes of Friends. If there was a reason to read this bestseller, it would be to find out how to be Aisha Tyler.

If you’re looking for an optimistic read, look no further than one written by the sunny Ellen DeGeneres herself. You can almost imagine Dory from Finding Nemo narrating this funny feel-good book. DeGeneres even shares tips on being a model that she learnt during her time as a Covergirl spokesperson. Fans will definitely want to check out this book as it is a like having a friendly conversation with DeGeneres herself.
