Twitter blows up over Beyoncé’s pregnancy announcement
Queen Bey surprises us all once again by releasing news of twins on Instagram.
Much to the delight of the Beyhive, power couple Beyoncé and Jay-Z are expecting twins! Beyoncé released an underwear-clad photo of herself on Wednesday, 1 February, cradling her glowing baby bump with both hands. Framed against a vivid floral background and dramatically adorned in a flowy chiffon veil, the Carters published a message to “share [their] love and happiness” with the world.
And happiness has definitely been shared as according to Twitter, there were half a million tweets about Beyoncé’s pregnancy in a mere 45 minutes. Queen Bey also hit another all-time high, as her photo on Instagram reached 6.3 million likes, becoming the most liked photo ever in just 7 hours. Their soon-to-be additions will join big sister Blue Ivy Carter, whom Beyoncé and Jay-Z had in January 2012.
