Australia’s leading gourmet festival is set to wow with fabulous food, award-winning wines and a line-up of international culinary superstars gracing the event.

Margaret River is a bustling market town famed for its quality wines with award-winning Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz and Semillon vintages being produced in the area’s more than 200 vineyards. But wine isn’t the region’s only claim to fame as this beautiful coastal town in Western Australia plays host to the world famous Margaret River Gourmet Escape –a culinary extravaganza with special events that offer Australian and international visitors food and wine experiences like no other.

The 2015 edition held from November 20-22 will once again be showcasing an unparalleled line-up of over 40 international and Australian culinary celebrities. Heston Blumenthal, Adriano Zumbo and Neil Perry are but some of the previous big names that have graced the festival and this year, ticket holders can look forward to the original rockstar chef and godfather of modern cooking, Marco Pierre White to head the event. White has made a name for himself as the youngest chef to win three Michelin stars and has since amassed an empire of restaurants in London where Gordon Ramsay, Eric Chavot and Heston Blumenthal have worked for him. Certainly, with White’s culinary expertise in town, the three-day festival is bound to be a hit with connoisseurs of discerning taste.

Also included in the line-up is Singaporean representative Chef Ryan Clift of the much loved Tippling Club who will be making his debut at Margaret River Gourmet Escape. Ryan’s culinary prowess is what has single-handedly propelled the Singapore restaurant onto the global stage. Prior to the Tippling Club, Ryan has worked with some of the best chefs in the world, including the MasterChef himself, Marco Pierre White.

The annual Margaret River Gourmet Escape may be a relative newbie on the food festival scene –with the event celebrating its fourth birthday this year, but the world-class food, special offers, superstar culinary personalities and gorgeous setting is certainly putting this food festival on the calendar of many culinary stars and gourmands alike.

So, if you’re looking for the ultimate of culinary adventures outside of Singapore, it doesn’t get more tempting than a weekend filled with fabulous gourmet food, award-winning wines, Michelin star chefs and stunning views of Western Australia’s best beaches to accompany your fine meal. It can’t be for nothing that Chef Heston Blumenthal called Margaret River his favourite food festival!

The full program of events can be viewed at gourmetescape.com.au. Tickets to the festival go on sale on July 28 at ticketek.com.au
