We are all about supporting local talent at Marie France Asia. Here are a few Singaporean singers we think you should know.

Singapore got no talent, one!

If we had a dollar for each time we’ve heard that being said. We beg to differ with the above phrase. Vehemently and completely. Singapore’s musical industry has seen many successful artists and we’ve also spotted a new very talented wave coming next. And they deserve to be heard.

We’ve rounded up 12 Singaporean talents, both new and known that you should have lined up on your playlists. From young bands such as The Sam Willows to mandopop darlings like Stefanie Sun and JJ Lin, these artistes have lovely dulcet tones waiting for you. We especially like The Sam Willow’s cover of Taylor Swift’s Blank Space. They are certainly a band to look out for in the future.

Fans of mandopop would be happy to know that most of the Singaporean singers based in Taiwan and China are currently making new material and albums as we type, for the next half of 2015.

Happy listening!

Cheryl Lee
