These brilliant and diverse women are set to light the stage in Laneway 2017.

The Singapore Laneway Festival, Singapore’s annual indie music festival, returns for its seventh year come January 2017, promising its usual exciting, diverse lineup of fresh indie sounds for your ears.

Particularly exciting about the lineup next year are its brilliant female acts from all over the globe; mesmerising in their vocals and beautifully diverse in ethnicity, sounds, and more. With women increasingly forging their way into the forefront (and potentially even the first female US President in the cards), we thought the timing could not be more ripe to celebrate women in music.

From twenty-year-old Aurora, a pale-haired Norwegian with her trademark quirky vocals and Björk-like synth-pop sound, to Nao who colours the stage with her feather-light, jazz-schooled vocals that oozes with mystery, charisma and edge, the diversity in the sounds stay true to Laneway’s commitment of constantly delivering fresh music and acts. Head up to the gallery to get to know some of the brilliant female acts in the 2017 Laneway Festival!
