Choice Cuts Goods + Coffee
This is a place where coffee meets ambience meets vinyl, so you know that this is a haven for all those indie music lovers and coffee-loving culture vultures. Founded by longstanding DJ collective, Matteblacc, Choice Cuts Goods + Coffee offers two things that will always be good for the soul--music and food. The store-slash-cafe also occasionally hosts impromptu vinyl sessions as well, so make sure to keep yourself updated by checking their homepage/Instagram.

The Analog Vault
The result of a collaboration between established vinyl records retailer Vinylicious Records, book collector/seller The Arkhivist, and independent online magazine retailer Magpie Magazines, the Analog Vault is a young store (est. 2015) selling old music! The store focuses on selling jazz, hip hop, electronica, indie, soul, blues, reggae, modern/experimental classical, world, and local music, and it also has an impressive library of music books and magazines. Head on there on a rainy afternoon to browse through their musty but interestingly eclectic collection of old-school music.

Hear Records
If the dinginess and dustiness of record stores are the things stopping you from going shopping for some vinyls, then stop by at Hear Records. From the outside, the store looks almost like a modern photography studio with its clean interior and big glass windows. Do take a listen to the vinyls at their listening corner, and thumb through their collection of music-related books.

Curated Records
Tiong Bahru is known for its hipster scene, and so it's only natural there has to be a vinyl shop somewhere! With their impressive selection of over 1000 records, Curated Records is best known for their vinyl indie music - so be sure to make a date here to pick up tracks from your favourite under-the-radar musicians.

Straits Records
Straits Records, located in the Haji Lane area, is a delightful mixture of both old and new. Not only does this record store offer a well-curated range of vinyls and CDs, it also hosts the occasional gig to help promote local talent. The store specializes in local and regional punk, heavy metal, and jazz music, and even offers music merchandise and even screen-printing services. Don’t forget to make an appointment first before heading there though--they only operate on an appointment-only basis.

Red Point Record Warehouse
Probably offering the largest selection of records within Singapore, Mr. Ong’s Red Point Record Warehouse offers an estimated 70,000 albums which span from classical, electronic, Chinese, jazz, and indie music. Make sure you make an appointment before you head down to this store though--Mr. Ong has a day job and the store might not be open on days in which he is out.

Vinylicious Records
A “parent” company of The Analog Vault (which also made it onto our list), Vinylicious Records boasts more than 3,000 titles of vinyl and cassette tapes (remember those?), and is a haven for old school music lovers and audiophiles. Besides new singles, EPs, and LPs, you can also find rare, one-of-a-kind items here and there if you look hard enough!
