We have warned you! Every four years, the FIFA World Cup puts couples around the world to the test. And the 2014 edition, which is taking place in Brazil, is no exception. A study by Durex published last week by the Daily Mail, revealed that two in five men would put football before sex for a month.

Even if you think you have managed to overshadow Neymar, Ronaldo and Benzema by dragging your man to your bed, beware! 37% of men say they are indeed willing to make love, if they can still take a look at the TV…  And 42% say they will try to finish as quickly as possible to return the match. Not to mention the 27% who say they would think about the game while making love.

The Durex study also revealed a list of the top ten excuses men use to not have sex:

1. I want to watch football
2. I have backache
3. I’m too tired
4. I have a headache
5. I worked late
6. I still have work to do
7. I’m too drunk
8. Can we do this later?
9. I do not feel well
10. I’ve got an early start tomorrow morning
