A British business firm asked young graduates the worst questions that they’ve ever been asked during job interviews. The result is not exactly glorious…

“Can you flirt with our customers to make them stay longer?”, “Are you planning to have children soon?”, “Could you wear more makeup next time?” Do these questions offend you? Well, according to the British law firm, Thomas Mansfield who interviewed young graduates, these are the very questions that have been put forth to women during job interviews.

Julie Goodway, a lawyer with Thomas Mansfield, told The Independent newspaper, “Unfortunately, these young women’s experiences are far from being an exception We are often asked how to answer such questions in interview…”

Noting the apparent and blatant sexism that still exists during job interviews, Thomas Mansfield decided to fight against these sexist clichés with a photo series. The series sees women holding up signs that read the worst recorded sentences while photographed during an interview setting.

Evidently, as much as society has progressed, these acts only serve to halt all the successes we’ve made. So the next time you’re at a job interview and are asked any one of these questions, show them this.
