Goblet of Fire (Harry Potter)
Many yummy drinks have come out of the Harry Potter series (Butterbeer anyone?) and this Goblet of Fire cocktail is the latest addition to the franchise. Who can resist a cocktail with such presentation flair?
Recipe: Shake TY KU and Kahlua in a cocktail filled with ice. Pour into a cocktail glass. Use a bar spoon to put cream on top. Then pour Bacardi 151 on top of the cream. Light the rum with a match and sprinkle cinammon on top.

French 75 (Casablanca)
Casablanca is a movie centred around a bar - a gin joint to be specific - so it's only natural that a movie-inspired cocktail emerged from it.
Recipe: Shake these three ingredients (45ml gin, 15ml lemon juice, 10ml sugar cane syrup), strain into flute and top with champagne.

Red over Heels (Sex & the City)
Carrie & crew made the Cosmo popular amongst female bar-hoppers and now here's a cocktail inspired by the trendsetting ladies of the Big Apple.
Recipe: 2 ounces SKYY Infusions Ginger,1 ounce honey syrup, 3/4 ounce fresh lemon juice. Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake vigorously and strain into a chilled Martini glass.

Vesper Martini (James Bond, Casino Royal)
Perhaps the most famous cocktail to find its way from book, to screen, to bars around the world, is James Bond’s twist on the Martini.
Recipe: Three measures of Gordon’s, one of vodka, half a measure of Kina Lillet. Shake it very well until it's ice cold, then add a large thin slice of lemon peel for garnish.

Blue Sky Margarita (Breaking Bad)
Party Pinkman style with the Blue Sky margarita created in honour of the hit TV series.

Recipe: This recipe calls for 1.5oz Pisco brandy, 1/4oz Absinthe, 1/2oz lemon juice,3/4oz Orgeat,1 egg white,1/4oz Blue Curaçao, and soda. To get the blue colour, pour everything except the soda into a shaker and shake until the egg becomes foamy. Pour into a glass, add ice and soda and top it off with a lemon or a blue rock sugar candy which you can find on site like Etsy and ebay.

Cocktails aren’t just born in bars. Some of them got their start on the big screen.

Movies have inspired fashion collections, theme parks and even new dishes, so why not cocktails? After all, many poignant scenes centre around the protagonist and his alcoholic beverage of choice. James Bond and his famous “shaken not stirred” quip comes to mind. Actors and actresses aren’t the only ones to emerge as stars in movies. Thanks to amateur but creative mixologists, alcoholic beverages inspired by movies like Harry Potter, Sex and the City and Casablanca are having their 15 minutes in the spotlight.
