Apps usually tend to keep us awake – but not this one. Check out how Sleepio works to help us get a good night’s rest which is vital for our wellbeing.

Being constantly connected is one of the main reasons we don’t get a good sleep these days. However, this is about to change as Colin Espie, Professor of Sleep Medicine at the Oxford University, is helping us counter that by creating the Sleepio app which providse a clinically-proven sleep improvement program.

But how does it work, you ask? First, the app tests your sleep, then Prof, a virtual sleep expert, collects your sleep test results in order to create a bespoke program that teaches you to sleep better. This is in the form of basic advice about your lifestyle as well as elaborate techniques of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).

With our busy schedules and lack of rest – this is surly a good idea to start the new year, don’t you think?

The Sleepio application is available on iOS, free for 7 days, after which it costs SGD29.99 to SGD299 according to the package as shown here.
